Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin stated that products containing cannabis used for medical purposes may be imported and used in Malaysia if the product complies with the law.
The Dangerous Drugs Act of 1952, the Poisons Act of 1952, and the Sale of Drugs Act of 1952, he said, are the current laws governing cannabis in Malaysia and do not forbid its usage for medical purposes.
